DATE & LOCATION

Connecting Matters’ goal is to connect our senior members with one another through virtual programming in Windsor, London, Thunder Bay and Toronto.

‘Connecting Matters!’ will offer webinars on a variety of topics, virtual exercise tips, virtual book clubs and virtual coffee time chats in different regions of the province.

Webinars:

Connect with your public servant peers each month at 1:00 PM for a fun a lively discussion. Even though we’re stuck at home right now, this is the best time to start a new ritual of regular coffee breaks with fellow public servant peers in your city. Chats run on Tuesday at 1:00 PM beginning in July. Phone in or login with your computer, phone or tablet for the full virtual experience. Look in the event listing for more details in your city.

Virtual Book Club:

Join us for QCC’s 4 regional book clubs in Windsor, London, Thunder Bay and Toronto. It’s a fun way to enjoy books and meet new people. It’s also a great way to learn new perspectives and participate in some healthy debate. Book club meet ups will take place on Thursdays. Look in the event listing for more details in your city.

Virtual Coffee Time:

The virtual Coffee Time meetups will take place on Tuesdays and are lead by a professional monitor. Each coffee time will run 60-minutes in length, and offer our members a chance to get to socialize over a cup of joe.

Get Moving with Active Aging Canada:

As part of our virtual programming, the QCC will offer exercise tips to get you moving. The virtual tips will be sent to our members in a weekly email that will link you to a one minute video featuring a new healthy living tip from Active Aging Canada.
