Dear QCC Members,

Recognizing the contributions of the public service community is what we value most at the QCC, and never in recent memory have your efforts been as valuable or needed. While we may be physically isolated, we don’t have to be socially isolated from the vibrant network of co-workers, friends, family, neighbours, and others who need support right now.

On behalf of the  (QCC) Board of Directors and Staff, I want to thank all of you who provide front-line service to the community, or work behind the scenes rapidly implementing new systems and procedures in response to the crisis, as well as crafting emergency policy, and the host of other jobs that need to be done to keep this province moving. Thank you, you are truly the unsung heroes!

wanted to assure you that at QCC we are realigning to this new reality, so we can continue to provide you with the services you value. While all QCC staff are working remotely for the indefinite future, we are set up to provide all our services virtually and answer all your incoming emails and calls.

Above all else, we value your membership and we will continue to be responsive to your needs and concerns. To this end we will be:

  • Continuing to provide timely information through e-bulletins and website updates.
  • Postponing the Long Service Celebration Events originally scheduled for the spring.  We will resume these events when it becomes safe to do so.
  • Adding new free webinars that you can attend virtuallyThe topics will be selected based on feedback you’ve provided us on what matters to you, including:  Well-being, Wills and Estates, Financial Management, etc.
  • Planning for a face-to-face meeting at our upcoming AGM in September, while also making it possible to join the meeting virtuallyso that you can attend safely no matter the circumstances.

During this difficult situation our Partners, including Johnson Insurance, Collette Tours, Hearing Life and Perkopolis have proven their commitment to QCC members.  Each partner is taking care of your needs on a case by case basis.  Even when the volume of calls and emails are overwhelming, they are dedicated to helping youso please reach out to them if you have a question or need assistance.  All QCC staff continue to be here to support your rewards partner inquiries and requests.

The COVID-19 virus has affected a great swath of society, and few people or businesses have not been impacted by it.  I want you to be assured that the QCC will stay alongside you to navigate the new reality that this has created, while ensuring that we respond to your needs and uphold this strong member community.

Please do not hesitate to reach out to me if you have any questions or suggestions. I am accessible by email at Lesley.brown@ontario25.ca or by phone at 416-325-1333, ext. 2001.
